Still on my Arise Experience

Arise 2012 though has come and gone, and many people are still recovering from the Huge challenges that came with the success of the event.
My focus will surely be on the unsung heroes who despite the shaky look of it all still kept at it with the believe that this was gonna work.
I had the privilege of working behind the scene and capturing most of them, and i can tell youthey were an amazing team to watch. Burning mostly on water, tea and coffee, churning out endless sleepless hours of work. I would say just one word about them. AMAZING .................
First the Models who won't just give up no matter the harsh conditions, having to bake in the sun, do loads of fittings, eat at odd hours........ and apparently smile @ the camera..
Trust me i don't envy the Stylists and styling assistants.... Having to do so much fittings, piece together various accessories and colors to get the desired looks, Trust me its no an easy one..... i was amazed by the passion displayed by the likes of Veronica Ebie Odeka..... and the Energy in that Lady Arieta Mujay beats me i tell you it beats me....*whispers.... Maybe she is on steroids*.... Lol.... Did i tell you she is the lady flying up there like she's got wings?
Then the Backstage madness........ Adrenaline pumping... designers putting in final touches, tailors doing final adjustments,
makeups and hair flying everywhere, production team drafting and redrafting schedules to make even the last minute count... tension mounting in anticipation as the models prepare to file out........Mehn..its a scene like in the movies
Talking about movies, then u need to see the camera crew groping for contents. cameras everywhere, both video and still images....

My Arise 2012 Experience

Arise Magazine fashion week has come and gone, but the memories still lingers on.
More importantly was my experience and the new found love for street style images.
So i got this call from Opinion Formers a Media management and PR company to be a part of a team of selected few within the industry to put contents together for the Daily version of the Arise Magazine which will be themed Arise Daily and distributed free during the fashion week.
For me this was a great honor to be picked among the selected few and to find myself working with some of the best in the industry as well as my mentors. so it was a team of writers, photographers, stylists and all.
So down to business, i was given the most challenging area of service and i had to prove myself worthy by
shooting Streetstyle photos of every fashionable person that will be part of the week.So here i am doing what i v never really tried much of it before, means taking me away from my comfort zone on the red Carpet to a very hostile front. Meaning i need to have the right eye for good looks and amazing sense of fashion so urs faithfully hits the street to wet your appetites....... *pls dont be too critical* winks.

Taking this serious

Dear Blog, I am now more resolute to take you serious.
I am sorry i keep saying this and i dont do anything about it. I promise to stand by my word(s)

Yours Faithfully

My First Magazine Cover shoot

I would rather want to keep Mum on this, cos how do i tell the Whole World i am scared of shooting a magazine cover, in case it dosen't come out perfect.
But well the situation came suddenly with a friend and celebrity i respect and value so Much, who will not take no for an answer.
She was to grace the cover of Vanguard ALLURE magazine for its valentine edition.
it was really challenging, not because i couldn't shoot but rather i dread it coming out looking horrible
But anywayz i think i pulled it off.
Guess i will just treat myself to 2glasses of U know what *wink*
